Colourful lattes in Dubai – pick your favourite colour!

Dubai never ceases to surprise us with new coffee places and it is great to see the local coffee scene thriving despite the tumultuous year we had. But what if you are not so much after the fanciest brewing method and the rarest beans but rather after something simple yet pleasing to the eye? Don’t worry, the Dubai coffee scene has some lovely colourful latte options for you!

Alternative latte options with spirulina, beetroot, pistachio and what not are becoming more and more commonplace, however we have some interesting suggestions for you below.

Please note that in most cases this is not an espresso-based drink so most of the below options would not be suitable if you need that caffeine kick!

Lavender latte

Let’s start with our all-time favourite – lavender. Personally, I love the lavender flavour so much that I am always happy to try anything lavender! L’Occitane Café in the Dubai Walk offers a nice lavender latte. It is not coffee-based but the shade of lavender is very pretty and it tastes quite nice too.

If you need to satisfy your caffeine cravings and prefer a proper cup of coffee but still with that distinct lavender flavour, you can’t go wrong with a cup of lavender cappuccino at Culinary Boutique.

Rose latte

There are quite a few different options available in Dubai but our favourite has to be the brightest and the pinkest of them all – rose latte at Logma. As an added bonus it also comes with a generous helping of fluffy marshmallows! A rose latte is a great alternative to a brightly-coloured beetroot latte for those who, like myself, do not enjoy the taste of beetroot in their food, let alone in their coffee!

Turmeric latte

Turmeric has many scientifically proven health benefits and if you are feeling adventurous why not try a bright yellow turmeric latte from Leen’s Café? Leen’s has several branches in Dubai and I thoroughly recommend their Emirates Towers branch with great views of the Museum of the Future for that insta-worthy cup of coffee!

Acai latte

We already wrote a post about the benefits of acai and other superfood bowls (you can read it here) but did you know that you can also enjoy acai in the form of an acai latte? You can try an acai latte at the Secret Garden and it is a coffee-based drink.

Please be warned that once you pour coffee into the glass with acai, the beautiful colour is ruined and you are left with a muddy-looking surface. Maybe I didn’t pour it the right way though!

Pitaya latte

I had never heard of a pitaya latte before I came across it while searching for the best superfood bowls in Dubai. You can try a pink pitaya latte at Vibe Café, although I am not sure if it is available at all locations. I was not expecting much as sometimes these lattes lack intensity in flavour, but their pink pitaya latte was a lovely surprise and so pretty to look at!

Charcoal latte

In addition to offering an acai latte, the Secret Garden offers a wide range of colourful lattes on their menu. The other one we have tried is a charcoal latte. It looks quite impressive, however given that charcoal itself does not have any taste it is not the richest in terms of flavour. Charcoal helps improve digestion though and it looks very pretty in contrast with the pink flower wall, so it is well worth trying!

Pistachio latte

Pistachio latte is a popular option and many places have their own interpretation. I have tried a few and my favourite at the moment is a pistachio latte offered at AnaMoia in the Dubai Design District. AnaMoia opened in November last year and it has a wide variety of colourful lattes on their menu, you will be tempted to try them all!

Which of these lattes would you like to try? Share with us in the comments below and do not forget to follow our Instagram @thegoodlifeindubai to be notified when we post our next article (a heads up – another exciting travel article is coming up very soon!).
